There are basic elements that you can learn to make your website has an effective way to put together design elements with a good and effective site. A good designer realized that web design is not just about doing colours on the page but also making a pleasing and useful web design. These are the elements you need to make your website useful and pleasing your visitors:
Balance in Web Design
Web Design Balance distribute heavy and light elements on a page. Balancing your website concentrated on the page layout. you must have visual balance on all aspects the page, not only the initial view. It is common to make invisitble grid system to create balance and make your visitor’s navigation easier. The three types of balance are Asymmetrical, Discordant, and Symmetrical.
Asymmetrical is more challenging to build but you have to do some strategies to make this type of design looked pleasant.
Discordant type of design make visitors uncomfortable or uneasy, so it best used for sites that intented to make people think when visit it.
Symmetrical means placing the element in balance and match elements on the left with the right. But some of them looks flat and boring.
The Emphasis in Web Design
involves where the eye is drawn into in a design. Keep in mind if everything in the design has equal emphasis, your entirepage will looks like too busy to be confortable and can make your visitor don’t get what you want to tell them. You can use markup, font size, image size, or contrast to make emphasis.
The Rhythm in Web Design
Also known as repetition. Almost all elements in your website design can be repeated to make pleasing rhythm for your design. For example you can repeat your headline, some image, or make a background that patterned with repetitive picture, but don’t use complex image for your background to prevent distraction.
Contrast in Web Design
Involves contrasting shapes, sizes, and textures. You can take it by changing font size, weight, and font family to make contrast. But remember not to scare your visitors with to loud contrast of colours. The important links in your page should be contrasted to get attention from your visitors.

Make Your Own Website Design

When you want to make revenue from promoting articles and links, you need a good navigation in your site to put them on. You can do it by your self or hire someone to do it.
For some people, designing website can be difficult. you will need many tutorials to get going. You also have risk of having a site that looks so bad on your first time designing. Remember that the most important thing is your site can be navigated well, all your readers can see and search what they are going to see or search, and your advertisement placed in the right place, can be seen by every visitors but not to distract them from reading your articles.
and remember to make your website unique, means that it different from other website, and don’t use free templates because it can make your website become kinda “amateur”. it’s ok for the low traffic or newcomer, but it might be a problem for a website that have big number of visitors.
